The Wahoos will also have two non-division meets (Foxcroft East and Fort Mill YMCA).
Time Commitment
- Swim season consists of team practices and swim meets. While swimmers are encouraged to participate as frequently as possible, attending all practices and meets is not mandatory. The Wahoos team understands that kids often have overlapping and competing schedules with other sports and activities. We have lots of multi-sport and multi-activity swimmers on the team.
- Practices
- The summer swim season begins in mid-May with daily afternoon practices
- Practices switch to the mornings when the school year ends
- Swim Meets (races)
- There are 8 opportunities to race each season. Six meets plus one time trial and one relay carnival are held in the evenings on Mondays and Thursdays.
- The 2026 GCSL season starts June 1 and concludes with the June 28 All-star meet.
- We have 6 dual meets as part of the league schedule on Monday and Thursday evenings in June.
- A new Relay Carnival will be held on June 22 - details are forthcoming.
- Our first meet is a Time Trial (Thursday, May 28), held at our pool. Its purpose is to give every swimmer an opportunity to record a time for each event the swimmer has legal strokes.
- Select swimmers may be invited to the All-Star team and compete at the All-Star meet at the end of the season. For the 2026 season the All-Star meet will be held at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center on Sunday, June 28th at 9:00 AM.
