    Hello Wahoos!

    We have had quite a few new team members sign up in just the past week. With the goal of making sure everyone has the information they need, this email summarizes some info we have covered in previous communication, including:

    • Team Suits
    • Swim Caps & Registration Shirts
    • Practice Schedule
    • RSVP Procedure
    • Volunteering & Job Sign-ups
    • Registration Fees

    Team Suit: We have a new team suit this year. If you do not yet have a suit for this season, you can purchase one at the Carolina Swim shop (SwimMac) at 9850 Providence Road.

    Swim Caps & Team shirts: Each swimmer receives a team T-shirt and latex swim cap as part of registration. The registration shirts will be handed out before the first swim meet. We will be handing out caps at practice this Friday and before the Time Trials Meet next Friday. If you have purchased a silicone cap or would like to, we will have those available as well.

    Practice Schedule - The practice schedule is posted on the team website under team information. We will have afternoon practices every day Monday thru Friday. from now until our first swim meet on Thursday June 7th. Morning practices will begin on Monday, June 11th. We have multiple sessions, based on age, so check the site for your swimmer’s exact time. There will be NO PRACTICE on Memorial Day, May 28th.

    This Season’s RSVP Procedure - We totally understand if schedule conflicts keep you from participating in every WAHOO meet and event. This year we are trying out a new online tool to help us better communicate when schedule conflicts arise. Please help us better plan and manage our meets by taking a few moments to share your summer plans. Here is what we need you to do:

    1. Go to the Wahoo team website https://wsrcwahoos.swimtopia.com
    2. Login by clicking the green tab in the upper right hand corner
    3. Click on the Calendar tab
    4. Select the meet entry tab for each meet
    5. Click the EDIT button for the meet status
    6. Select ATTENDING or NOT ATTENDING for each athlete
    7. Click SAVE

    Volunteering & Job Signups Summer swim league is truly a family activity. At every meet, we need both enthusiastic swimmers in the water scoring points for the team and supportive parents out of the water working to make sure all the races are recorded accurately and the meet runs on time.

    To sign-up for a job:

    1. Go to the Wahoo team website https://wsrcwahoos.swimtopia.com
    2. Login by clicking the green tab in the upper right hand corner
    3. Click on the Calendar tab
    4. Select the job sign-up for each meet.
    5. Click the SAVE ASSIGNMENTS button at the bottom of the page

    For a summary of your families job commitments:

    • Select MY ACCOUNT from the pulldown menu in the upper right hand corner (right under your name)

    Registration Fees - We have already collected registration fees for about 75% of the team. If you have not yet done so, please drop off a check with Janet in the front office.
