Greetings all Wahoos Swim Families,

We are very excited about the upcoming 2022 Wahoos Swim Season. We can’t wait to see all our returning swimmers! Coach Nathan will be returning as head coach this season with several seasoned assistant coaches returning, as well. Below are some important details about the season.

Registration: is now open https://wsrcwahoos.swimtopia.com/

• Register your swimmers as soon as possible to help us plan and finalize hiring of coaches, establish practice groups and schedules, plan fun activities, etc.

Format: This season we will be back to the regular Greater Charlotte Swim League format.

• In person dual meets (3 home and 3 away)
• All-Star meet at the end of the season
• 2022 GCSL Division 2 winner moves up to Division 1 for 2023. Team at bottom of Division 2 standings moves down to Division 3 for 2023.

Volunteering: It takes a lot of help from you to make the swim team run smoothly. All families will be required to complete 4 volunteer slots. More information is on the Swimtopia site. Job signups will be available ahead of swim meets and social activities.

Fees: There is a $20 per swimmer fee increase to keep pace with higher costs. This is on par with the fees charged by other teams.

Apparel:

• Each swimmer will receive a team towel and latex swim cap
• Suits: No change in suit design from 2021 (our suits are for 2 years)
  • More details if you need a team suit
• The Wahoos Team Store is online again this season to purchase Wahoos spirit wear
• Replacement latex swim caps and silicon caps will be available for purchase
