3 Home Meets this Week & End-of-Season Social Date
Happy Sunday Wahoos families! A LOT of important announcements for the full week and beyond, so please read all the way through:
Monday 6/12 Home Meet vs. Windy Rush - We are in need of volunteers to serve as both Clerk of Course and Assistant Clerk of Course for either half or full meet. We cannot run the meet without these important volunteer roles. If you are a parent, you can do this job! It simply requires referencing the heat sheet to get children organized as they enter the Clerk of Course area. Please contact [email protected] to help.
- Arrive at 5:00 for warm-ups at 5:15 for Home meets.
- Wahoos families sit near the ping-pong tables or snack stand areas, (visiting team sits in the area near the kiddie pool), and parking overflows into the field.
- We will have a Red, White & Blue theme, and the snack stand will be serving chicken wraps and burgers. You are welcome to order delivery as well.
- We swim in the rain. If there is thunder/lightning, we will pause for 30 minutes and then often resume. Please do not leave the meet unless you receive a formal cancellation message via Swimtopia.
- This will be a tough meet, so please have your best cheerleading ready!
Thursday 6/15 at Home vs. Foxcroft East - Declare your swimmers participation by 11:59pm on Tuesday 6/13.
- Arrive at 5:00pm for warm-ups at 5:15.
- Hawaiian luau theme, and the snack stand will be serving burgers and chicken wraps.
Saturday 6/17 Wahoos Annual Invitational at Home - We are happy to continue this Wahoos tradition for our 12 & Under swimmers. This is a fun, relaxed, informal swim meet for our younger swimmers, and will either just be Wahoos or one additional visiting team.

General FYIs
- Heat Sheets & Results - A reminder that you can find heat sheets on Swimtopia the morning of each meet and results on Swimtopia the morning after the meet.
- Ribbons - The coaches plan to hand out ribbons at Friday practices. If your child does not attend on a certain Friday, they can collect their ribbons the next Friday or at the end-of-season social. If your child was at practice but didn't receive their ribbons last Friday, please be patient as we get our ducks in a row.
- Playgrounds - Swimmers should remain off the playgrounds at both home and away meets.
- Starting block area - Swimmers should only be in this area if they are swimming in the next three or so heats. If they are chatting with friends or cheering, they should move to the Wahoos cheering area.
- Team photo attached :) Chaotic but cute!
Whew, thanks for reading through, and thanks for your help! It takes a village!
GO WAHOOS!!!
